I like feelin’ good. I bet you do too. Everyone does.
Today, I feel full of energy. High-energy, in fact.
I wake up with the desire to conquer, to break things up, and put them back together in a better way.
Thing is, that this kind of energy is something that I never had before.
For years, there were periods of time where I felt like shit all day long.
I had tons of questions about these weird feelings I experienced…
Why is it that one day I felt good, and a couple of days later, I felt like shit again…?
Why can’t I just feel physically good at all times?
Why are these mood swings messing with my life?
I was worried, so I visited every doctor in the book.
They found nothing out of the ordinary in my body.
So I figured it was a mental thing – it had to be because it appeared that had no issues in my body.
I was wrong.
It wasn’t a mental thing, nor it wasn’t technically a physical thing.
All my bloodwork and other medical studies turned out fine. No issues were found (thankfully?)
Yet, there were days where I had no energy and no desire to get up from my bed… I called this feeling Zombie Mode.
Feeling Like A Zombie
Zombie Mode is when you discover yourself:
- dragging your feet
- feeling brain-dead from all the brain fog
- going through life feeling tired even though you’ve been sluggishly doing nothing during the day.
Some people might call this depression. But it’s not, as depression needs to be diagnosed and I was NOT diagnosed with it.
It was something else.
And I never figured it out… that is until I started reading a bit more about dieting.
Enter The Diet That Fixed Me
In February 2018, I decided to eat a high-protein, low-carb diet.
I went to the supermarket, bought all the usual low-carb food, paid tons of money on the cashier, went home, and ate.
And voilá!
Nothing happened.
Zombie-mode was still alive and kicking.
Then, I found out about the Carnivore diet. This diet consists of eating only meat, fish, and other animal foods like eggs and some dairy products.
I lost 60lbs in 7 months.
I lost 20lbs in the blink of an eye.
I went from 210lb to 160lb in 7 months – yikes!
Yes… I only ate meat for 7 months.
And you know what?
I freaking SUCKED big time, but – and this is a HUGE Cardi-B level BUT– I killed Zombie Mode.
Feelin’ Like A Million Bucks
I felt good thanks to the carnivore diet.
I was always High-energy. No more cranky morning, bad taste in the mouth, and, especially, no more feeling like shit.
But… I HATED THIS RESTRICTIVE DIET.
So I caved.
I went bank to my unholy eating habit.
And Zombie Mode Came Back.
See, while I consider myself a disciplined person, I believe that living such a restrictive life was turning me into a loser.
I stopped eating the same food as my family – they gracefully cooked stuff for me when I visited them (It’s good to have an awesome family like this).
My house stank like cow meat all day long – something my wife was not fond of.
I become a crazy person in the eyes of my family.
Screw that…
I felt like shit, but I still had a good time with my family.
But I Didn’t Want To Feel Like Shit For The Rest Of My Life.
On November 25, 2019, I bought an ebook about fat loss.
I didn’t need to lose fat. I just bought to help out my friend, Alex Feinberg, with his product launch.
Little did I know the GEM I just bought.
I met Alex on Twitter.
He had been following me for a while. But I didn’t follow back, because I had no interest in following more people on social media.
But, during one of our Twitter encounters, he tweeted at me in Spanish and told me he played professional baseball alongside Dominicans – that caught my attention, cuz I’m Dominican.
So I followed him back.
It’s funny, now that I think about it.
Because thanks to this silly – but memorable – encounter, sometime later, I bought the book that changed my approach to diet.
Enter: Ten Easy Wins For Easier Fat Loss
I bought the ebook just to help out Alex with his product lunch.
Nevertheless, out of curiosity, I printed it out and read it in one sitting.
Long story short, I’m now eating, eating, eating, and not gaining weight.
Best thing? No more Zombie Mode.
Here’s how I currently feel:
- I have high-energy all-day long
- I have nearly zero mood swings
- The continuous brain-fog is gone
- I have no severe cravings for junk food
- I eat at any time I feel like and how much I want to
- My meals are diverse – still high-protein, but I always enjoy what I eat
- I’m happy – which is something that happens when you eat well!
What Did Ten Easy Wins For Easier Fat Loss Teach Me?
- The best food I can eat to avoid fat gain
- What to eat when I crave eating
- The mentality of eating when I’m hungry
- How to eat a high-protein diet that’s not boring
- Eating without counting calories – man… this is a winning concept as far as I’m concerned.
- A secret tactic to fight sugar craving (the one that a sweet tooth like me would kill for)
- The ONE thing you should always do before buying something to eat.
- Easy replacement food for pizza, fried chicken, chocolate bars and pancakes
- The most amazingly simplest way to season the food – it’s nearly magical!
I’m glad I purchased this ebook.
